Brita Wiederanders

Brita Wiederanders wurde in Leipzig geboren und besuchte von 1981–87 die Spezialmusikschule für Musik in Halle an der Saale. Sie studierte anschließend Klavier bei Christoph Taubert an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig und absolvierte ein Aufbaustudium am Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester bei David Lloyd und John Wilson.
Brita Wiederanders ist Preisträgerin des Brigitte Fassbaender Preises, des Stella Brads-haw Award für Liedbegleitung sowie des Margaret Tudor Evans für Begleitung. Sie erhielt außerdem den 1. Preis beim Bessie Cronshaw Liederzyklus Wettbewerb. Es folgten Rund-funkaufnahmen für das New Zealand Radio in Wellington und die Teilnahme am „Young Songmakers 1994“ in London unter der Leitung von Graham Johnson. Sie besuchte Meisterkurse bei Paul Hamburger, Anne Grappotte und Graham Johanson. Ab 1995 unter-richtete Brita Wiederanders instrumentale Korrepetition an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig. Sie wurde Stipendiatin des Rotary Clubs sowie des Deutschen Musik-wettbewerbes in Bonn.
Im Rahmen der Bundesauswahl „Konzerte junger Künstler“ nahm sie an zahlreichen Konzerten beim Schleswig-Holstein-Festival und dem Usedomer Musiksommer teil. Brita Wiederanders ist seit 1999 Dozentin für instrumentale Korrepetition an der Hochschule für Musik „Carl Maria von Weber“ in Dresden und konzertiert in unterschiedlichsten kammer-musikalischen Besetzungen.

Brita Wiederanders was born in Leipzig and attended the Special School of Music in Halle an der Saale (1981–87). She then studied piano with Christoph Taubert at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre and added advanced studies with David Lloyd and John Wilson at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
She has won the Brigitte Fassbaender Prize, the Stella Bradshaw Award for lied accom-paniment, the Margaret Tudor Evans Prize for accompaniment and the first prize of the Bes-sie Cronshaw Song Cycle Competition. These awards were followed by broadcast recordings for New Zealand Radio in Wellington and her participation in Young Songmakers 1994 (Lon-don) under the direction of Graham Johnson. She also attended master courses given by Paul Hamburger, Anne Grappotte and Graham Johnson. Beginning in 1995 she taught instru-mental coaching at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre.
She has held scholarships from the Rotary Club and the German Music Competition in Bonn and has taken part in many concerts at the Schleswig-Holstein Festival and the Use-dom Music Summer as part of Germany’s nationwide Young Artists Concerts. Since 1999 she has taught instrumental coaching at the Carl Maria von Weber School of Music in Dres-den and given chamber recitals in a very wide range of instrumental settings.
